There is virtually no medical care for persons with Parkinson’s disease
But this program will change those circumstances
$40 buys two hours of hands-on medical evaluation of up to four patients suspected of having Parkinson’s Disease.
$60 pays for 12 yoga lessons for one district of Uganda for one month. We visit four districts per month, so inclusive charge is $240. Note, this goes on every month, every year.
$90 pays for a one year supply of Vitamin B-12 (as many as 1 in 10 patients may be deficient in Vitamin B-12). This is lifesaving. People with B-12 deficiency often present with symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
$100 pays for a car and driver for 2 days to make visits to outlying districts.
$300 pays for one month of support of the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation of Uganda. Services include home visits, publicity, interaction with local health care providers, and supplies for office and medical purposes.
$700 pays for four weeks of lodging for Dr. Hageseth in Uganda.
$1000 covers health insurance and medical evacuation coverage for one month
$1700 pays for round trip airfare to Uganda.
